Christianity and the Arts:
A Small Group
Experience
Who: Those
interested in discussing the relationship between Christianity and the
Arts
What: We’ll
explore various expressions of beauty: film, literature, music, visual arts, dance,
gardening, etc. We’ll discuss how those interests interact with and inform our
faith in Jesus Christ. Some resources that may stimulate our discussion include
The Fragrance of God by Vigen
Guroian, Contemplative Vision: A Guide to
Christian Art and Prayer by Juliet Benner, and Caring for Words in a Culture of Lies by
Marilyn Chandler McEntyre.
When: A weekday evening, to be determined,
7:00-8:30
Where: Our home: Call or send an email message (see above) for the address.
Why: This is a
common interest of Stan and Judi Bohall that we would like to open up to others
in a small group setting.
How: You name it:
discussion, observation, sharing, quietness. We may even take a field trip to
the Worcester Art Museum or to the Museum of Russian
Icons in Clinton .
